Ultrasonic Level Alarm УСУ-1
The controlled liquid: petroleum and its light fractions, water and any other liquids forming no deposits on the sensing element material and making no damage to it.
The alarm can be used as a detector of liquid presence in the controlled volume. It can be mounted on an object vertically or horizontally with spatial orientation.
The alarm has "an explosion-proof" level of explosion protection according to state standard ГОСТ P51330.1 provided by "d" types of explosion protection according to ГОСТ P51330.1 and "spark-proof electric circuit" according to ГОСТ P51330.10, explosion protection marking "1Exibll CTX" and is designed for mounting outdoors and indoors in places where mixtures of air with burning gases, vapours and dust can be formed which are capable of exploding in the presence of a source of firing.
The alarm relating to the explosion-proof electric devices for outdoor mounting (group II) of temperature class T5 (ГОСТ P51330.0) is designed for operation in macroclimatic regions УХЛ according to ГОСТ 15150: location category 1 – for the УХЛ version.
PURPOSE
Liquid level control in open and closed tanks under pressure in technological plants at enterprises of chemical, petrochemical, medical, food and other industries, as a detector of liquid presence (or absence) in the controlled volume. It is possible to use in barrels of the "Tandem" type end gaskets.
The alarm meets the requirements of "General Rules for explosive chemical, petrochemical and petroleum refining productions" ПБ09-170-97, can be used in explosive areas where formation of mixtures of air with gases and vapours related to category IC and temperature group T5 (ГОСТ 12.2.020-76) is possible.
RANGE OF APPLICATION
According to the explosion protection marking ch. 7 of ПУЭ, ЛГФИ.477733.001ПС and other normative documents regulating use of explosion-proof electric equipment mounted in explosive areas of chemical, petroleum, petrochemical industries, main pipeline transportation and other productions and objects connected with handling or storage of explosive and toxic substances and mixtures as well as handling equipment.
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
The alarm principle of operation is based on change of the ultrasonic echo-signal parameters of the alarm sensing element when it is immersed into liquid.
When the liquid level is above the alarm sensing element, the alarm optical indicator glows yellow, the alarm contactor chain is opened.
When the liquid level is under the alarm sensing element, the alarm optical indicator glows yellow, the alarm contactor chain is closed.
DESIGNATION FOR REQUISITIONING
It is necessary to specify the distance between the supporting surface and the sensing element (A) – 60, 80, 100, 120, 160, 250, 270, 320, 350, 400, 430, 450, 500, 600, 800, 1200, 1500mm and the connection type (Ш) – nipple, (M) – captive nut. Variant with distance (A) made to order is available. Distance between the sensing element and the end surface (B) - 11±0.1.
